The musings of a New Zealand mathematics teacher.

A new adventure.

I am extremely excited to be teaching at a new school this year. It is a small, independent school in New Zealand that is open for its second year of instruction. It has more than doubled in size since last year, going from 15 foundation students and 1.5 teachers to 33 students and 3 full time teachers.

The school is heavily focused on community and the environment but what really makes it stand out for me is the fact that they have chosen to follow the International GCSE curriculum. I am absolutely loving the robustness of the curriculum and the fact that I am teaching both Mathematics and Computer Science this year and not solely mathematics.

I am genuinely loving this new adventure. It has reinvigorated my love for teaching and learning.
